Vehicles running on streets, huge factory setup has made our lives comfortable and easier. But, on the other hand, have decreased our lifespan. Continuous emission of pollutants including carbon dioxide and methane gas has encouraged greenhouse effects and further enhanced the global warming.

According to the recent analysis done, researchers have found an increased amount of methane gas in the atmosphere during the period from 2010 to 2015. India and various other countries signed Paris Agreement aiming to keep the track of greenhouse gas and how they can be controlled.

Hence, under the clause of Paris Agreement, a scientist at University of Bristol said, “There is little increase in the methane gas level in India.” Apart from India, several other countries including China and the US has also faced the hazard of the increased level of methane within past few years.

However, India emits ten times more methane gas as compared to the UK. India is a leading country in occupying cattle and agriculture. Largest rice production of the world comes from India.

Carbon being the first greenhouse gas on the planet, methane stands on the second position. Methane emission comes from burning of fossil fuels, gas ruminants, and rice paddies. Cutting off of methane and carbon levels will indirectly help in moderating the greenhouse effect and global warming.

Agriculture firm also adds to the emission of greenhouse gases. Around 18 percent of greenhouse gases come from the agricultural sector. When India made a Paris Agreement in December 2015, is aimed at reducing the methane gas emission by 35 percent till 2030. It said it will try to eliminate obtaining electricity from non-renewable energy resources and make use of renewable energy sources to increase the energy power capacity at around 350GW.

Researchers at the University of Bristol are analyzing other different countries to check their increased or decreased rate of greenhouse gas emissions.
